Commitment Smart Questions and Tips

Find and plug the holes in your commitment

“Commitment is a heart centred giving of one’s consciousness and one’s life to the extent needed to make the necessary connections and integrations.”
-- Andrew Schneider

“A total commitment is paramount to reaching the ultimate in performance.” -- Tom Flores

“Give life meaning through your commitments.” -- Paul Reinert

“I made a commitment to completely cut out drinking and anything that might hamper me from getting my mind and body together. And the floodgates of goodness have opened upon me -- spiritually and financially.”
 -- Denzel Washington

“Commitment leads to action. Action brings your dream closer.” -- Marcia Wieder

“Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes; but no plans.”
-- Peter F. Drucker

“Commitment is the willingness to be the bridge between Spirit and form, between light and darkness, between past and future, between actuality and potential, between lack and abundance, etc.” – Andrew Schneider
  • Commitment means effort and time are required. What are you willing to give up?
  • What times of the day or week are you committing to take action?
  • Is your commitment for or against something? It is best to be for something.
  • How would you describe your level of commitment? For example are you indifferent, obliged to others or passionate to do whatever it takes?
  • What are you doing to keep your commitment alive – spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically?
  • How have you affirmed it, visualized it, expressed it, ritualized it and made it part of your life story?
  • Are you willing to lose your individuality in support of the bigger picture, cause, group needs, etc.?

Commitment is more than a survival instinct and a mental demand or wish. It is a call to push your limits and experience the edge of your being. It is a call to be more than you ever have before and to learn more deeply about yourself.

Commitment takes the 4 D’s - discipline, disengaging dramas, diligence and dedication.
